			The Timmins Golden Trails Festival When: August 09, 2008 Where: Timmins Regional Athletic and Soccer Complex Lace up those running shoes and get ready for Timmins  half marathon and running festival. , The Timmins Golden Trails Festival and the Timmins Regional Athletics and Soccer Complex on Sunday August twelfth at 8 a-m. Participate in the 2, 5 or full and tandem 21 kilometre races.   35 hundred dollars in prize money will be disbursed to the top three finishers in both the male and female divisions, Timmins Golden Trails  running festival is sponsored by  Wallbridge, Wallbridge Trial Lawyers, Northern Tel, Gold Corp and La Caisse Populaire de Timmins. and Timmins Music at Work, 99 point 3 EZ Rock.

			Kiwanis 14th Annual Walleye Tournament When: August 31, 2008 Where: Kenogamissi Lake Attention all Anglers , Ez Rock and the Kiwanis Club are going after the Big One again with the 14th annual Walleye Tournament Sept 6th & 7th at the Cache . It’s a catch & release, with over $20,000 in cash & prizes to be won. Entry is limited to the first 125 boats signed up, so sign up today at any local tackle store. Fee is $200 per team for 2 person team if paid before Aug 1st. Fee is $225 per team for 2 person team after Aug 1st. All proceeds go to the Children’s Treatment Centre.
